Nidhi S. Kulkarni is an accomplished Indian filmmaker and the creative force behind Pune-based Coral Boat Studio. With a Master’s degree in Film and TV Production from the prestigious University of Southern California, Nidhi brings Hollywood-level expertise and a global perspective to her work. She has over eight years of experience across feature films, commercials, social media content, and documentaries, giving her a well-rounded skill set and a nuanced understanding of diverse storytelling formats.

 

Her work as a producer includes internationally recognized short films like Hotter Up Close and Instant Noodle, which have been celebrated at leading festivals such as the Palm Beach International Film Festival, Washington DC Shorts Film Festival, and Vancouver Asian Film Festival. Her projects have garnered attention and accolades across the U.S. and Canada, with screenings at the Long Beach LGBTQ Film Festival, CAAM Fest in San Francisco, LA Shorts, and Dances With Films in LA.

 

Beyond producing and directing, Nidhi has lent her talents as an assistant director, production coordinator, and production manager on high-impact projects, ranging from the Hollywood feature film Missing to commercials for industry giants like Disney and Uber. She’s also contributed to the Canadian political documentary series Unrigged, showcasing her versatility and commitment to storytelling across formats.

 

Nidhi’s diverse expertise includes producing for social media as well. While working with Nas Studios, owned by social media influencer Nuseir Yassin (Nas Daily), she mastered the art of high-impact, engaging digital content, creating videos that achieved over 100,000 views and resonated with audiences worldwide.

 

In 2023, Nidhi returned to Pune to launch Coral Boat Studio, where she continues her mission to tell impactful, women-driven stories that inspire and elevate. Currently, she is developing her first feature film and producing another feature in Los Angeles, bringing her vision to life on an even larger stage.
